Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?
We only have a couple of clinicians who accept insurance. Each insurance company has different policies and rules so we would love to talk with you regarding options so you can make an informed choice about using insurance for therapy.

Our fully licensed clinicians; Megan, Taylor, Katie and Sage do not accept insurance but are able to offer clients a Superbill for out of network reimbursement.

What is the first session like?
The first session can feel a little nerve wracking and intimidating. We’ve been there! Our therapists arrive at your first session prepared to understand the whole picture of you. They will ask questions that will guide you through sharing your history with them. Do you need to jump into a topic quickly? Or are you not quite ready to dig into certain topics? No problem! Our therapists will meet you where you are at and adjust to your individual needs.

Our offices also have water, coffee/tea, snacks, fidget toys, etc and offer a warm, safe space for you. If you’re doing a session on Telehealth, login from a quiet and private environment. We will send you a unique link prior to your appointment that you can log n with your computer, tablet, or phone.

Do you write letters for emotional support animals?
We don’t. There are specialists trained to be able to offer these letters for you. If you need a referral, please contact our office.
7
Do you offer play therapy?
We see children ages 12+ who are able to engage in therapy in a talk therapy space. Our therapists who see adolescents and teen clients provide engaging exercises and utilize fun materials and tools to facilitate their therapeutic goals but we don’t offer play therapy in the traditional sense.
8
How long does therapy last?
That question is for you! We empower our clients to lead the way in their treatment journey. We will follow your lead when it comes to frequency of sessions, duration of treatment and individual goals. We will offer supportive guidance along the way.
Due to our relational style of therapy, it’s not uncommon for our clients to stay with us for a year or more, and many return to us in the future when something new arises. Our goal is to offer what you need, when you need it, and that’s totally different for everyone.
