Hi, I'm Emily! I'm a co-owner of The Couch Therapy, and I work with individuals and couples across Texas who are navigating intimacy, sexuality, and relationship challenges during some of life’s most meaningful and vulnerable transitions. My work focuses on helping people understand the deeper emotional and relational patterns that shape intimacy, desire, and communication, so relationships can begin to feel safe, connected, and joyful again.
I am currently a PhD Candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Woman's University, where I am actively conducting research regarding sexual health, parental mental health, and estrangement dynamics. I also offer supervision for LPC Associates and am currently accepting new Associates.
If you’re here, you may already know something needs to change or simply want relationships and intimacy to feel different than they do right now. Therapy offers a thoughtful and compassionate place to begin that work, and I would be honored to walk alongside you.

I work with individuals and couples navigating intimacy, sexuality, and relationship challenges during some of life’s most vulnerable transitions. Many clients seek therapy when communication has broken down, trust has been disrupted by betrayal, or connection feels distant despite wanting the relationship to work.
My approach is attachment-based and grounded in Family Systems therapy, helping clients understand the deeper emotional patterns shaping desire, conflict, and connection. Together, we slow reactive cycles, foster accountability and understanding, and rebuild emotional and sexual intimacy in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
I also specialize in supporting reproductive and parenting transitions, including infertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, postpartum identity shifts, and evolving family boundaries. Through both my clinical work and research, I am especially passionate about helping clients navigate relational estrangement and the complex process of redefining family relationships with clarity and care.
Therapy with me offers a thoughtful, compassionate space to explore vulnerability, unlearn shame, and reconnect with yourself and the relationships that matter most.
