Our Services and Specialties

At our practice, we specialize in a range of group therapy services, grounded in attachment theory and relational therapy. Our qualified team brings unique expertise in areas such as trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, somatic work, couples counseling, premarital curriculum, and pre and postpartum support.

We also address various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, childhood trauma, grief and loss, stress and burnout, self-esteem and self-worth, life transitions, identity, relationship challenges, perfectionism and people-pleasing, attachment wounds, boundary-setting and major changes or transitions in life.

Together, we create a supportive environment that fosters healing and growth in individuals from all walks of life. No diagnosis is needed. Sometimes things just feel off, you feel stuck, or you’re ready for things to feel different. We’re here to help you make sense of what’s happening and figure out what comes next.

Individual Therapy

Each of our therapists work with individuals and cater their approach to what works for you. We treat anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship challenges, ADHD and neurodivergence, grief, trauma, major life transitions, etc. You get to decide what you want to come to therapy for and what you want to talk about.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma can shape the way we see ourselves, the world around us, and how relate to others. You might not even recognize the way it impacts your daily life. Trauma-informed therapy creates a safe space where our therapists will follow your lead and your pace. Your experiences are respected, your choices are honored, your voice is heard, and you don’t have to move any faster than you’re ready to. We’re ready to walk alongside you and together we’ll work toward understanding what you’ve been through and how to build a greater sense of safety, connection and control.

IFS

We all have different parts of ourselves that show up in different situations. For example, the part that wants to keep everyone happy, the part that gets angry, the part that overthinks everything, or the part that wants to hide when things feel overwhelming. Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you get curious about these parts rather than judging or fighting them. Together, we work toward understanding what each part is trying to communicate and we develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself as a whole.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy approach that can help the brain process difficult or traumatic experiences that may still feel emotionally or physically present. Rather than requiring you to repeatedly tell the story of what happened, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to support the brain's natural processing system. It can be helpful for trauma and other experiences that continue to affect how you feel, think, or respond in the present.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are about much more than food. They can affect the way you relate to your body, yourself, and the people around you. Our therapists provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support for those navigating disordered eating, body image concerns, and complicated relationships with food and movement. Therapy can help you understand what's underneath these patterns and begin building a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and your body. We are a HAES aligned team of therapists.

Pregnancy and Postpartum

Pregnancy and the postpartum period can bring enormous changes physically, emotionally, relationally, and personally to any person involved. While these experiences can be joyful, they can also bring anxiety, overwhelm, identity shifts, grief, intrusive thoughts, or feelings that don't match what you expected. Our therapists provide a judgment-free space to navigate the complicated realities of becoming or being a parent, so you don't have to figure it all out alone. Our team specializes in maternal mental health and have been trained through PSI, yet we also treat all parties involved in the pregnancy and family building process.

Couples Therapy

Our therapists are trained in The Gottman Method for couples therapy, while also drawing from other therapeutic frameworks and approaches depending on each specific couples’ needs. Whether you’re struggling with communication, recurring conflict, intimacy, trust, or just feeling disconnected, couples therapy can help you understand the patterns between you and learn new ways of relating to one another. Our goal is to help you learn healthy communication and give you the tools needed to feel more like a team.

Sex Therapy

Sex and intimacy can be deeply connected to our emotions, relationships, body image, identity, and sense of self. It can be hard to talk about sometimes, even with someone you love. You may not even know exactly what’s happening, never mind know the right words to say. Sex therapy with Dr. Emily Morehead offers a safe, judgment-free space to explore concerns around intimacy, desire, communication, sexual confidence, mismatched desire, pain, or changes in your sexual relationship. Whether you're navigating a specific concern or simply want to feel more connected and comfortable in your sexuality, therapy can help you better understand yourself and create the kind of intimate relationship you want.

Somatic Therapy

Sometimes, your body knows something before your mind has the words for it. Somatic therapy brings attention to the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences to help you better understand what's happening beneath the surface. Through increased awareness of your body's signals and responses, you can begin to develop new ways of responding to stress, emotion, and experiences that may feel difficult to put into words. Our team uses the sensorimotor psychotherapy approach and overall mindfulness to help you listen to what your body is trying to communicate.

Pre-Marital Therapy

Getting married is about more than planning a wedding—it's about building a life together. Premarital therapy gives couples a chance to talk openly about the things that matter most before they become sources of conflict, including communication, finances, family dynamics, intimacy, expectations, and future goals. It's an opportunity to strengthen your relationship, understand each other's needs, and build a foundation for the life you're creating together. Our team has developed an entire curriculum specifically for pre-marital counseling.

Grief

Grief isn't something you simply “get over.” Nor does it truly happen in specific stages. It can change over time, show up in unexpected ways, and affect every part of your life. Whether you're grieving the death of someone you love, the end of a relationship, a major life change, or a version of life you thought you'd have, therapy can give you space to process the loss without having to rush through it. We'll meet you where you are and help you find ways to carry what you've lost while continuing to move forward.

Performance Psychology for Athletes and High-Achievers

Being driven and successful doesn't mean you can't struggle. Performance psychology helps athletes and high achievers understand the mental and emotional patterns that can influence performance, motivation, confidence, and overall well-being. Whether you're dealing with perfectionism, performance anxiety, burnout, injury, pressure, or difficulty separating your identity from your accomplishments, therapy can help you perform at your best without losing yourself in the process. Our therapist Katie is a former athletic trainer and specializes in work with athletes of all kinds.
