Secondary Infertility

Emily Morehead, MA, LPC, PMH-C recently got to collaborate on the DFW Child Article regarding Secondary Infertility. You can check it out here.

Any struggle with fertility can create feelings of overwhelm, isolation, shame, guilt, confusion, and ambiguous loss. Secondary infertility can create additional stressors of powerlessness with the current struggle with fertility while grieving the idea of having a sibling for the child you are parenting. This can cause difficult feelings in your current parenting journey. It is true that you can feel both joy and pain while parenting a child while longing for another child. These feelings can feel isolating and tend to have less support from the fertility community.

Secondary infertility may have attributes of loneliness but you shouldn’t have to walk this journey alone. If you are looking for a therapist in Texas to support you on your fertility journey The Couch Therapy Team would love to support you on your fertility journey. Start today by clicking here!
