The First One in Your Family to Go To Therapy?

For those of you who are the first in your family to go to therapy—you’re doing brave work. This decision to seek mental health care probably wasn’t easy. Your family may support your decision, they may disagree with your decision, reactions may be mixed, or it may not feel safe or okay to tell them. Whatever the case, your story is safe here. Whether your goal is to make sense of your past, unlearn relationship patterns that aren’t serving you, or just have a space to hear your own voice more clearly, you deserve room to heal and grow. I’m honored every time I get to sit with a client who’s decided they want to do some things differently than they saw growing up. There is no judgment in the space we create together—only curiosity for your roots and respect for you. Welcome, friend. I’m so glad you’re here.
