What’s a Therapy Consultation?

Are you interested in beginning your therapy journey, but not quite sure what to expect? Our therapists at The Couch Therapy offer free 15-minute consultations to allow you to learn more about our therapeutic approach before fully jumping in! 

To prepare for a consultation, we ask that you reflect on questions such as:

• What do I want to work on in therapy?

• What are my goals for therapy?

• What personality from a therapist best fits my needs?

• Do I have a budget for therapy?

• Do I have a preference for virtual or in-person sessions? Do I want in person therapy in Allen or Colleyville or is virtual therapy more my vibe?
  

During the consultation, you will learn about our therapeutic approach, values, and how we best serve our clients in the therapeutic process. We can also answer any questions or concerns you may have about beginning therapy. 

We hope that you can utilize consultations to deepen your understanding of what therapy will mean for you, and what you need from your therapist to build a strong relationship together. 

What happens next? After the consultation, the therapist you spoke with will gather all the information you shared, and consult with our team to determine which therapist will be best fit for you and your needs for therapy. From there, we will reach out with next steps for beginning your therapy journey with our recommended therapist.
